A country show that celebrates Gloucester’s agricultural heritage and the importance of maintaining our region as a prosperous farming community, free from destructive industries.
Friday is the day to see the judging of livestock and produce, this is a great insight into the work and lifetime dedication of our local food producers. In the cattle section alone there are categories for Guernsey, Illawarra, Holstein Friesian, Jersey and Ayrshire breeds in the dairy category and 13 categories for beef cattle.
There’s plenty to see especially for kids. Saturday is the main Show day for entertainment in true country show style: ring events, music, rides, fun things to see and do, a demolition derby and of course the fireworks. Don’t miss the announcement of the Miss Showgirl and Master Stockman event plus the freshest scones cooked onsite by the lovely ladies of the Gloucester Show Society Ladies Auxiliary.
