There’s so much for kids and families to do in Gloucester that we have a whole separate flyer for it. If you’ve seen the Holiday Fun flyer already then here are the details below.

Kids Club at The Steps

A popular school holiday fun club at The Steps Campground on the beautiful Barrington River. Try Canoe Games (Sat 4 Apr 1pm-4pm; Thu 9 Apr 1pm-4pm); High Ropes (Thu 9 Apr 9am-12pm); Abseiling (Sun 5 Apr 1pm-4pm; Sat 11 Apr 1pm-4pm) One activity $30pp; two activities $50pp; all three activities $70pp. Bookings are essential, call Barrington Outdoor Adventures on 6558 2093.

  • Orienteering Easter Egg Hunt – Sun 5 Apr 9am-11am, $5pp.
  • Eco Treasure Hunt – Fri 3 Apr 9am-12pm, $10pp
  • Survival Skills Clinic – Wed 8 Apr 9am-12pm; 1pm-4pm, $30pp
  • Rainforest Bushwalk – Sat 11 Apr 8.30am-11.30am, $30pp
  • Mountain Bike Hire – For use at The Steps Mountain Bike Park $55 per day or $65 delivered.- Bookings are essential, call Barrington Outdoor Adventures on 6558 2093.

Other fun stuff to do

Rotary Duck Races – Easter Sunday 05 April by the Gloucester River in the District Park.

Holiday art workshop for kids – Wed 8 April, 9am-12pm or 12.30pm-3.30pm, $5 per session, bookings essential 0417 517 365. At the Gloucester Gallery in Denison Street.

Wildcraft Camp – 8-9 April. At The Steps of Girrba Campground, activities include bushwalks, wildlife watching, nature games, treasure hunts, natural face painting, bush survival skills, making bush shelters, the art of camouflage, animal tracking, finding water plus more! 9am-4pm each day, $70pp per day. Bookings essential 0412 216 485.

Creek Critters Workshop – Wed 8 April at Kings Creek Retreat (84 Kings Creek Rd, Krambach) and Fri 10 April at Gloucester District Park (riverside next to Minimbah Gardens). Presented
by Midcoast Water and Waterwatch NSW. Morning tea provided, kids must be accompanied by an adult. Bring gumboots, sunscreen, drinking water. Both days are 10.00am-11.30am, free to attend but registration is essential, email waterwatch@midcoastwater.com.au or call Kirsty 6592 4830 or 0427 959 175.

Platypus Spotting – Fri 10 April at the Relf’s Road river access point to the Barrington River. Presented by Midcoast Water and Manning Great Lakes Platypus Awareness and Conservation Team. See full details here.

Devils in the Wild Tour – Sat 11 April at Barrington Tops. Join a tour to see these iconic Tasmanian animals in a wild environment and meet some joeys up close! See full details here.
