The 2015 Blue Star (Regional) Award Ceremony will be held over 6-8 November 2015 in Gloucester, who was last year’s Overall NSW Tidy Town Winner. The weekend coincides with the Gloucester Platypus Festival.

Keep NSW Beautiful and Gloucester Shire Council will be hosting the Blue Star Regional Sustainability Awards Weekend, designed to celebrate the hard work and achievements of our awards program participants.
The weekend will commence with registrations and an afternoon meet and greet followed by a welcome dinner on Friday evening. Saturday morning will commence with a traditional welcome and smoking ceremony followed by a presentation of case studies of inspiring sustainable projects with tours of Gloucester and surrounds to finish the afternoon.
The formal presentation dinner will take place on Saturday evening, where the Tidy Town and Clean Beach State Representatives will be announced. The winners of these awards will go on to represent NSW in the Keep Australia Beautiful National Awards. The weekend will conclude with a breakfast on Sunday morning.

Gloucester Tidy Towns winner 1981 to 2015
Gloucester is justifiably proud of its many parks and public areas that make the most of the scenic location at the foot of the remarkable Bucketts Mountains. The town was awarded the first-ever NSW Tidy Town Award in 1981 and the top award has again been bestowed to Gloucester, winning the NSW Overall award for 2015.
Since winning the inaugural prize in 1981, Gloucester has picked up more prizes in the Tidy Town Awards including category awards in 1983, 1984, 1996, 2006, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 6 awards for 2015 including the coveted Overall State Winner.
