James Tito Parada kicks off our 2017 program in the Gloucester Gallery with an exhibition of abstract drawings and works in acrylic, oil, ink and pencil entitled “Tainted Paint”. A collection of surreal and abstract paintings inspired by the complexity of thoughts, ideas, interpretations and ultimately “personally tainted views” we as individuals bring to every part of our lives.
James has been creating art for over 20 years. Originally from the southern beaches of Sydney he has had exhibitions and works hung in Sydney, Northern NSW and South Australia. He uses a wide range of mediums including acrylic, oils, ink, pen and pencil and finds inspiration from the world around and inside of himself. He finds painting in abstract and surreal styles allow the expression of his thoughts and ideas, along with feelings and emotions expressed through colour, form and texture.
