Unsung Heroes Award Gloucester NSW

Gloucester ‘Unsung Hero’ Community Service Award

Community service is the heart of the Rotary movement and Gloucester is renowned for its levels of volunteers. Nominations are being called for the Gloucester ‘Unsung Hero’ Community Service Award 2016-17, run by the Rotary Club of Gloucester. The award is an acknowledgement of the vital role that volunteers and dedicated employees play in our community and the need to recognize their efforts.

Nominations close Friday 28 April 2017.

The successful nominee will have provided a community service that would be in the main a voluntary role over a number of years. The nominee needs to be a resident of the Gloucester region, or provide a community service within the Gloucester region.

The winner will be selected by the Rotary Club of Gloucester according to the selection criteria guidelines. More than one winner may be selected in the event of multiple outstanding candidates.

The winner will receive a plaque at a Rotary Club ceremony in June 2017. In addition, the winner will receive $500 to be donated to a community service/charity organisation of their choice.

Gloucester Rotary seeks your support to identify and nominate a suitable candidate who has made a significant contribution to a service organisation or to the community in general, and whose selfless service may have gone unrecognized in the past.
