As part of Garden Clubs of Australia’s National Gardening Week (8-14 October 2017), Gloucester Garden Club is hosting a guided tour of the beautiful Gloucester District Park. The free tour will be guided by Ian Jackson, horticulturist with Midcoast Council, and you’ll discover the interesting garden features & history of this impressive public space.
This is a great opportunity to get gardening inspiration, learn about our parks and enjoy some gentle walking exercise! So prepare for a walk (up to about 2 hrs, or as long as you wish), prepare your questions and meet near the cricket nets at the grandstand of Gloucester District Park at 9.30am.
There is no charge for this tour, various things will be happening along the way to make for an interesting tour which will conclude at Billabong Park where you can finish your morning with a visit to the Gloucester Farmers Market.
This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about our local park, get some exercise and enjoy some fellowship on the way.
