The much-loved Community Christmas Carnival returns to Gloucester in 2017 with plenty of free and low-cost activities to keep the whole family happy. For the hotly-contested Santa sleigh race, the organisers encourage everyone to dig out their old billy carts & decorate them in Christmas theme for the race.
Lots of community groups are involved, the businesses on Church Street are encouraged to stay open late and any business in the 2422 postcode is welcome to set up a stall to help promote the business or sell products, without paying a stall fee.
The Gloucester Advocate will also running its annual business Christmas window display competition, which will be judged during the carnival. All businesses are encouraged to take part in the competition.
